After a couple snowy weeks here in Utah, the sun finally decided to come out! Thus, so did the camera.  My parents were so generous as to gift me a new one, and while it did okay on it's first spin, it's clear to me that I have a lot of practicing to do.  As for the ever compliant subject: bahlog land, meet my dear friend Shayn - Shayn, bahlong land.  She is my Kea$ha loving, Chinese speaking, hippie hugging girl who will never say no to random dancing in the apartment... attempted krumping and shimmy lessons included.  One day I hope to have the enthusiasm and all around love for life like she.  And maybe her shower singing voice too.  Oh how I miss her sweet serenading freshman year...

Good thing she makes spontaneous Friday morning visits!  My days are so much better as a result.

Friday nights these days are pretty cool too.  I haven't really been keeping up with them here on the blog, not about any nights really.  And that's kind of a bummer, don't you think?  Especially when they just keep getting better and better.  Tonight included homemade pizza (for both dinner & dessert!), kiddos pleading for puppies, and witnessing some song-offs (not to be confused with sing-offs) between brothers.  And it's good to know that in times of trouble, Destiny's Child will never fail me.

Now who's excited for the Beyonce concert on sunday!?

This Is Halloween

October 28, 2012
We had ourselves a little Halloween party.  Yeah!  Highlights include:
+watching Rupper limbo as the "horseless headsman"
+catching Rupper write his name in for the costume contest ten or more times
+Rachel dancing gangham style
+Justin & Bailey mimicking everyone
+making it rain on Shayn "fitties, hunnens, hunnens, hunnens"
+the impromptu dance party where the aforementioned raining was made possible

And now just because I can...
Don't hate you 'cause you ain't me!
Now excuse me while I hate myself for saying that.
Also, I promise to actually put some effort into my costume one of these years.

Lovebirds

September 23, 2012
Welp.  The first of the "Tingey Girls" as we like to call ourselves {in a non-cliquey actually very endearing and fun way} is a married woman!  Can you believe it?  Rachel & Justin could not contain the smiles on their faces the entire night.  And I may or may not have teared up watching their first dance {which I usually deem awkward and maybe slightly outdated}.  I love the two of them so very much and cannot wish enough happiness upon their lives together!

{in which I accidentally sound like this... but i really am!}

So Rad, So Mighty

May 19, 2012
After I hiked the dreaded Y again {with my rudolph socks to endure the pain thank you very much}, Christopher called me helpless, stranded in Orem.  So I picked him up, we decided we needed a best friend date, and headed off to see The Mighty Sequoyah.  En route I spotted Hue & Hum eating dinner!  And IT WAS AWESOME!  And I totally freaked out {sorry Hum}!  Anywho, Shayn joined us by the time Sequoyah went on and all was grand.  Err mighty.

Speaking of music...
Kimbra.  Can do no wrong.
And speaking of Kimbra...
City & Colour.  Can do no wrong.
{Kaylie! Still, I thank you for Kimbra!}

Valerie

Chris decided to have an "Old Hollywood" housewarming party on Saturday.  And I'll be honest, I thought it would be nice and fun yes, but people dressing up?  Old hollywood?  No one would go for it, things would be awkward, too cheesy, laddi daddi da...  Well let it be Chris to prove me wrong!  So many people came all dressed up.  Most everyone really, okay so everyone except me!  But it's okay, because I may or may not have acted as the quasi-subpar-event-photographer to keep myself occupied.  Martinelli's were had, toasts were made, poker games were played...  It was all in all a really good time.  And such a great night.  How'd I luck out with the best of friends?  They are too good for me.

Oh, you may now consider the house officially warmed.
