"Cough Cough, I'm Sick"

Hellooo blog land. I'm back to the snow of Utah after a warm and rainy Thanksgiving in Arizona. Every day was a dream. Mckenely woke me up each morning ("the sun says it's okay to get up!"), Brielle performed little songs on the fireplace, the girls got into the dress up bin, Mckenley and I took over the tire swing at the park, Steve backstabbed me in croquet (never forget), we ate tons of Tia Rosas, Breck set up a gourmet panini bar (Breck also ate all of the stuffing sooo), Brandon made the hugest cinnamon rolls I've ever seen... There was softball and tennis and the most-intense-funnest-ever-light-show-spin-class-extravaganza-workout. So yeah you could say it was a good time.

I came home to the hugest stress zit you've ever seen and pink snowy mountains. I'm relearning how to walk in the snow (and slipping anyway). I'm also solely wearing leggings, or jeggings, or any non jean related pant, so that says a lot about how I'm planning to deal with the cold from here on out. Speaking of cold, I'm sick. Although feeling a lot better now. All thanks to Coby driving me around and buying me medicine and taking me to see Christmas lights to cheer me up and not cringing with every gross snot noise I make and etcetera etcetera etcetera. Also baths, lots of baths.

But you guys, school is hard. It really gets ya down. Feeling creative-less and idea-less in a creative and idea driven major are not the best ways to feel. Especially when there is seemingly no time to recharge, no time to clean the slate and feel inspired again. All of this doubt has somehow creeped into other parts of my life, so I'm working on feeling confident and not comparing my work, my writing, my self to others. Go me.

To sum all of this up, Miranda July : "All I really want to know is how other people are making it through life, where do they put their body, hour by hour, and how do they cope inside it." via Meg.

In other news,
+ song i'm obsessed with and have had on repeat
for like a week straight and still don't get sick of it
